Review all applications for permits referred to it including applications for Planned Residential Developments (PRD’s) within La Jolla Shores Planned District and to submit its recommendations or comments on these matters in writing within 30 days to Planning Director. Also recommend to Planning Commission any changes to regulations, provided such changes are necessary for proper execution of adopted plan, and to adopt rules of procedure to supplement those contained within this Division. Board shall utilize architectural criteria and design standards adopted by Council in evaluating appropriateness of any development for which a permit is applied under this Division.

The City of San Diego’s Office of Boards and Commissions was created in 2018 to support the day-to-day operations for the City’s 49 boards and commissions and serves as an access point to the volunteer members appointed by the Mayor and City Council.

These entities serve in a fiduciary, regulatory, policy-setting and/or advisory capacity. The Office includes the existing executive directors and staff positions that support the following: Accessibility Advisory Board, Commission for Arts and Culture, Community Review Board on Police Practices, Commission on Gang Prevention and Intervention, and Human Relations Commission.
