• Approved a resolution (5-3, one abstention) authorizing the district to begin negotiations with search firm B.W.P. and Associates, with compensation not to exceed $40,000.
• In a 6-3 vote, the board approved an amendment to the resolution to include the phrase “with services to begin no earlier than September of 2023.” This was proposed by Chair El-Amin to give the board more time for community engagement.
