The Healthy Neighborhoods Committee in Cincinnati focuses on areas such as food and nutrition security, tobacco-free living, active living, safe routes, mental health, and safe communities and housing1. They also address immigration issues and provide information on who to call for help.

The Cincinnati City Council is the City’s legislative body. The popularly elected city council is responsible for enacting ordinances, imposing taxes, making appropriations, establishing policy, and hiring some city officials. The council adopts the local general plan, zoning, and subdivision ordinance.
