The committee rejected an amendment to the Purchase Agreement for the First Precinct which would provide for co-location of the Third Precinct at that building, reaffirmed support for the Purchase Agreement for the First Precinct, and postponed further consideration of the Third Precinct.

The committee received a presentation relating to a proposed high-level overview of an implementation plan for Truth and Reconciliation. The proposed plan includes creating a commission that would interview “both perpetrators and victims to understand the harm inflicted by the Minneapolis City Government against Black and American Indian communities, aiming to facilitate reconciliation.” The commission would also host public hearings where residents can share testimony.

The committee received a presentation relating to a draft ordinance including a series of policy reforms proposed for the administration of the City’s Appointed Boards and Commissions, as well as several supporting documents, including a report, FAQ, and comments from some boards and commissions.

The committee received a presentation relating to 3000 Minnehaha Ave (former 3rd Precinct building).
